FAISALABAD: During a robbery attempt in the Peoples Colony area of the city, residents caught two criminals and assaulted them, Geo News reported.
According to police sources the alleged robbers entered a warehouse claiming to make a purchase. Upon entering the warehouse they took out weapons and tried to commit the robbery.
Upon resistance from the owner of the warehouse the robbers opened fire during which they were caught. The robbers were assaulted by residents of the city who refused to hand them over to the police. Residents said they would only release the robbers after high ranking officials came to the scene of the crime.
The robbers were released after the ASP of the area reached the scene and were taken to a nearby hospital.
